Three Days Without Internet.
Just admit it. Everybody loves internet. Even most of your daily routines depend on it. Read emails, make purchase, paying bills, banking and so forth.
There was a day when my Internet connection caught into the jam. I don’t know what happened but looks like the Internet provider, Telekom; overlooked at my account. I keep disconnected every five minutes no matter how many times I restarted the modem and the desktop itself. It is really annoying especially it occurred whilst I’m uploading some files to the server.
Good habits are hard to develop but they're easy to live with. Bad habits are easy to develop but hard to live with. Excellence is a habit. Stewardship is a habit. Philanthropy is a habit. These habits touch people. They plant seeds of greatness in the lives of others. They create your legacy in a lasting and authentic way.
Whenever I restarted the computer, the line went back to normal. Within 5 minutes, it started to slow down and finally disconnected. Does trojan is the main culprit? Definitely not since didn't encounter any no matter how many times I scan for viruses.
I decided to call the ISP, asking what has happened. Here goes the process of dialing a magic number of 100, listen to ‘very friendly’ customer female robots, and the ‘know all’ customer support staff.
I hate to say this but whenever I request for clarifications, they keep asking me to do basic troubleshooting procedures. Something likes to turn the computer off, restart the modem, and/or check the modem configuration. I lost count on how many times I have to tell them that everything was checked before I decided to seek for help.
As their last resort, the ISP decided to reset my connection and it probably took 2-3 days to get everything in order. There goes my day without the Internet. It really annoys me since I have so many things to do within these 2 to 3 days ahead.
What else can you do without the Internet? Ah, time to hang around with my baby.
That’s what you get when certain things were monopolized by money-makers’ proxy. Should I subscribe to a new ISP? I prefer to subscribe with Jaring compared to Maxis or Celcom.
Now, I need some help.
