A Million Dollar Will Not Buy You a Second
Most of you are rich, at least, richer than me. I don't have a house fully registered under my name, a car worth hundreds of thousand, decent amount of saving bank account and so forth. Yes, I am a poor chap who struggle hard to survive.
However, I am happy with what I am now. Not that I satisfied but happy. And the happiness converts to thankful. Yesterday on May 3, 2008, a Malaysia automotive czar, Tan Sri Nasimuddin died at 53 due to lung cancer. He was very rich, trillion times richer than me.
This sudden news somehow managed to trigger me to write something about life. So what is it now? Read my lips.
I am not well-known among Malaysian while he's not. I am poor chap but he's not. I don't have any enemy while he's not. I am happy with what I have now while he's not. I made no abuse on my authority while he's not. I don't have anybody who wants me dead while he's not. More important is, I am here to see minutes ahead of me while HE'S NOT.
Make lots of friends who love to hang around for whatever you are--while you are still breathing. The world these days love to make friends with the riches while the unfortunates are left alone.
Don't live your life to pursue wealth alone. Don't make us of other people weaknesses. Don't cheat on others. Remember this. No matter how rich you are, you cannot buy even a single second from God.
Go figure.
