Killer Domains to profitable blogging advertising

Part 1: A Journey into the Web - The Prologue

It all started after I watched some videos on YouTube, read some of my favourite blogs, and viewed my brother's MySpace decorated with overwhelmed graphics. I mumble, "What the?" but hey, dont' blame me for that. The technology is getting more sophisticated each day. There's no way I could catch him all the time.

It's not that I totally blind on html codings--even css too. I am able to create simple website like this, without too much hassle with scripting but I quitted myself long ago. Emm, what year is it? I can't remember exactly but of course it's not likely you haven't born. The first website I created is on advertising but later on, sold to my friend for a small amount.

Then I created another website for my brother, purposely for his business but again, it wasn't last long. He jumped into another field and established a shop. So, there's another end of my interest. On one 'bloody' day, I lost all my e-gold money to a scammer. It was actually my fault though. Why joined hyip programs at the first place? Stupid me...

Since then, I haven't built a single website. I even uninstalled Adobe Dreamweaver from my computer! Stupid me again... But it all changed when a wonderful pearl is born.

On January 2008, my first daughter was born. Such a cute baby girl gifted by God. Alhamdulillah. (You can read the entire story here.) The deeper I look onto her face, my mood to start jiggling with the codes is getting stronger (in Malay, we call this 'gatal jari'). Hey, I wish to show her my website one day! So, it would be better if I started building this site slowly from now.

Anyway, I better start practicing or else I will have to start all over again on familiarizing the codings. Since this is not a business website, there's nothing to hurry except that I have paid the hosting company a bit early - but that's another story.

As for beginning, I was wondering on how should this weblog look. Perhaps my interests? Well, it's a good idea to start with. Afterall, this is my website. I can rants all I want, can't I? After some tweakings, or more accurately, 'put this in-take that out' session. I finally decided on the topics. "What are they?" you ask me? Ouch! Just stretch your eye balls to the left, my friends. That are the best topics I believe suit us in general.

I haven't create any content just yet. Even this design is still in the air. Well, you can't push yourself on these or else, you will slap yourself the next day. There's another thing that I need to take care of. Perhaps the most crucial step to many of us; buying a domain name.
