Killer Domains to profitable blogging advertising

Part 12: Let Us BlogUpp! And Boost Our Readers

Not too long ago, I was searching methods on promoting this blog. I believe most of you already placed some widgets on your blog. Most popular widgets seemed to be BlogRush, MyBlogLog, EntreCard and/or Spottt to name a few.

Later, I found BlogUpp in Daniel Socco's blog. What is this? Another traffic exchange program? I visited their site and it caught my attention instantly. The one which really suit my liking is that you don't have to register in order to use their widget! Just enter your URL and poof! You are almost ready. All you have to do is choose between 2 types of code generated and place it inside your blog. Pretty handy isn’t it?

Okay, enough on the introduction. What it has to offer? BlogUpp not only snapshot the our blog but it also reads the RSS entries regularly. In short, not only our readers can see how other blog looks like, they also can see the latest post. The RSS content is revealed when you hover on the image. (I have mine on the left. Try to hover it). Should you decide to visit that blog, it opens a new window so that current viewers don’t have to leave our blog.

Magnificent service to my point of view--and free too! However, I don't like the idea of forcing new window though. Perhaps they can make it optional during submitting our URL.

How it work? The system works on 10:9 basis which mean, for every 10 readers you refer, you blog gets visibility on 9 other blogs. Very generous to my point of view since most traffic exchanges out there offer at 2:1 at max (BlogRush comes with 5:1 mind you).

Every blog submitted will be manually approved so you better be quick as more and more bloggers are going to use them. Mine took roughly a week but that's not an issue since I have some technical problems. Should you encounter any problem (which I did), just send them an email and you'll receive their feedback within minutes! Yes, MINUTES not hours, and definitely not days.

"Ok, I'm impressed. What else?" Let me see. How about being able to track your readers? Since many of us mortals love to monitor our traffic, they also give you the ability to track your visitors via any stat analysis tool that you are accustomed with. Kudos to them on this.

For the time being, I still experimenting BlogUpp! and BlogRush thus I cannot come with proper analysis at your disposal. Perhaps later.

If you are a fairly new site (like me) looking to get a bit more exposure then BlogUpp! may be a great solution. Any existing user of BlogUpp! out there? Please share your thoughts.

p/s: Personally, I would recommend you to give it a try.
