Stirring the Calm - Lim Kit Siang

lim kit siangIt is no secret. In PRU12 general election, the opposition won 31 of 59 Perak state seats - DAP 18, PKR 7 and PAS 6. The remaining 28 are in the hands of BN. Fine. That's a good news. So what's the issue? Hell yes, DAP's Chairman; Lim Kit Siang started to stir the calm water.

In his press conference, he stated that Perak's Chief Minister must be among DAP. Not from PAS nor PKR, which in turn, means no Malay at all. What the hell? Someone please correct me if I heard it wrong. It's only few days back the opposition formed a coalition now, the conflicts heard to my ears.

"Yesterday (12 March 2008), DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang created a furore when he said DAP would boycott the swearing-in ceremony today in protest against Nizar’s appointment as Menteri Besar." - Malaysiakini

I don't know what's inside Kit Siang's head but I smell trouble. Kit Siang believes the peoples are in favour of him, in favour of DAP. My oh my... In my last article, I have mentioned this before. Both DAP and PAS can never tagged along peacefully--mainly due to ideologies. Be it for Anti-Islam reason, be it for Anti-Chinese reason, they will never work well together. Never! Unless, those peoples who emerge the crisis thrown out from the window or neither one of them tries to gain the upper hand. Yes, Kit Siang. I'm sick to hear those same stupid statements again and again--and BN is laughing at the back.

It makes me wonder. Why Perak citizens voted for DAP and PAS if they know the fact? To my opinion, DAP is indeed a tolerable party, and they can work with anyone--although with their rampaging bull's attitude. However, according to Raja Petra Kamaruddin from Malaysia-Today, he mentioned that DAP is influenced by Lim Kit Siang himself. Not to mention few names as well.

"Is it not the Secretary-General who has executive powers instead of the Chairman? Why then is Kit Siang making all these damaging statements when in the first place he should not be the one making them. When he was the Secretary-General, he was the one running the party while Chan Man Hin, the Chairman, sat quietly in the background and did not ruffle anyone's feathers. Now that he is the Chairman, Kit Siang should also sit quietly in the background and allow the Secretary-General to run the party like how he did before this when he was the Secretary-General. Kit Siang is not DAP and DAP is not Kit Siang." - Malaysia-Today

Now, tell me. Who are here being racist? Is it PAS? Is it PKR? Or is it DAP a.k.a Lim Kit Siang? Come on, PAS already dropped their Islamic State agenda four years ago. What else does DAP want? Hand-over the whole country? Abolish the Monarch? Don't keep yelling at people to abide the rules yet he, Lim Kit Siang himself ignores it. The, state constitution says it clearly that the candidate should be a Muslim Malay, so the PAS-PKR-DAP alliance should left it to the state's Sultan to decide. Knock...Knock... Mr. Lim Kit Siang, still dreaming or what? Even IF PKR consist of Chinese majority, the same laws behold.

"My three-paragraph statement at 7 pm last night that the DAP Central Executive Committee emergency meeting on 9th March had not given approval for a PAS Mentri Besar to head a Perak coalition state government was not made out of disrespect to the Perak Sultan and Regent both whom I have always held in the highest regard and I apologise for any offence caused. The statement was on the party position at the time." - Lim Kit Siang

Yeah, he apologised the next day. So? Does it bring any good? Remember Mr. Lim, you stirred the calm water and there are various sources of wind. How long do you think the water will calm again? Go figure.

Unlike PAS, DAP is not used to governing and is going to go through some teething pains as it adjusts to learning the subtle nuances of being the government in some states. The best sample was shown in Penang where Lim Guan Eng; Penang Chief Minister slammed the Prime Minister on NEP issue. How fool. "Idiot" if I may add. What he just did may open a door to calamity--and the Ruling party wants that ammo badly. Diplomacy, sir. Diplomacy. Don't keep your bull's attitude. It's fine for DAP being the opposition, but a BIG "no-no" when governing. Haven't they learn anything from PAS Kelantan?

Not a smart move, both Mr. Lim . At least, earn peoples' trust first before started yelling to the whole nation or you're risking our confidence.

The current situation is not so stable. Yes, being Malaysian citizen, I am not happy to hear it although it can be considered as a healthy democracy practice. Even the Chinese, Indians, and the rest of the Malays who voted them are not happy. Let me remind you. The rakyat entrusted PAS, PKR and DAP so that they can form an ideal coalition and bringing Malaysia a step ahead.
